Betty and Notty were two young mothers who lived across the street from each other. From their living room windows, each woman was able to observe the activities of the other woman’s family.
One day,Betty confessed that she’d been watching what went on in Notty’s front garden and that she envied her. I don’t know what you mean, Notty said with puzzled look on her faceWell, I often see your husband out in the front mowing your lawn, and I wish my husband would do the same thing, Betty said. Your garden is beautiful!
Notty laughed and then made her confession. "I have been doing the same thing Bettty," she said. I watch your husband in your front garden - and I have envied you! Notty shook her head with disbelief. "What on earth do you mean," She asked. Betty replied," I see your husband playing ball with your toddler so nicely." How I wish Sandy, my husband, would do the same thing! He never wants our boys in the way when he mows. Be honest Betty. Would you rather have your husband play with your son than have a well-manicured lawn?
I had not thought of that before, but your right Notty. I may have tall grass, but Sam, my husband is right about playing with little Finlay, Notty concluded.
Very often we are blind to our own blessings that are so obvious to others. Let us cultivate the habit of concentrating on our several blessings rather than brooding over what we perceive as curses.
I remember a proverb which I learnt in grade 5."Distant pasture is greener' My dear readers don't you agree with this proverb .Do you? I welcome your valuable comments.

Reality
Once upon a time, there was a teacher and his student. One day they were lying down under a big tree on a grassy plain. Then, suddenly, the student asked the teacher, Teacher, I’m confused, how can I find my soul-mate..? Can you please help me..?
Teacher : Silent for few seconds, then he answered, well; it’s a pretty hard and easy question.
Student : (Thinking hard) Huh???
Teacher : Look that way, there’s a lot of grass there, why don’t you walk there, but please never walk backward, just walk straight ahead. On your way, try to find a beautiful blade of grass and pick it up,
then give it to me. But just ONE blade of grass.Student : Well, ok then.. wait for me.. walked straight ahead on the grass field.
A few minutes later.
Student : I’m back.
Teacher : Erm, well I don’t see any beautiful blade of grass in your hand.
Student : On my journey, I found a few beautiful blades of grass, but each time I thought that I would find a better one, so I didn’t pick it up. But I didn’t realize that I’m at the end of the field, and I hadn’t picked
up any. ‘Cause you told me not to go back, so I didn’t go back.Teacher : That’s what happens in real life..What is the message of this story..?
In looking for your soul mate, please don’t always compare and Hope that there will be a better one. By doing that, you’ll waste your lifetime, ’coz remember Time Never Goes Back”.
It applies similarly in finding your ideal life partner, your suitable career or business opportunity

Traveling is fun and recreation

I love travelling and have trotted a quarter of the world.Thank God for giving me the courage, strength, wealth and good health. My trip to Japan in 1992 was memorable.I shared an apartment with my son in Tokyo to spent a whole month exploring Tokyo and the vicinity. In the photograph is my son's landlady Yokawa. Neither she speaks English nor I speak Japanese. On the second day of my arrival in Tokyo, she came up to my apartment and said something to me,although it was jargon gestures that she made enlighten me that she was asking me whether I want something then she said "sakuna"again she said "sakuna" Ididn't know what sakuna is.Then she held me by hand and took me down to her fridge and showed me some fish. Then I realised what she meant was.She had asked me whether I eat fish.I felt the necessity of knowing a language before travelling to a country is indispensible. The very next day I walked into a neighbouring booshop and bought some survival Japanese language books and CDS.I whishpered to myself'"Necessacity is the mother of invention".I was happy that I prepared some vocabulary to accept Yokawa's invitation for a day out.My impression about Japanese people and the country itself is high esteem. They are very friendly, helpful and well organized.Yokawa accompanied me to Akibara.we visited the temples and the traditional Japanese market. On my way I picked up some souvenires, when I opened my wallet to pay for them she would'nt let me pay ..She paid for all my purchasing.I wonder, whether its their custom.I felt embarassed, and stopped further buying. She invited me to one of the best seafood restaurant for lunch and ordered all types of seafood that was available on that day.I did really enjoy the day with her it was a memorable day.I realised language is not that important to enjoy friendship, hospitality and kindness of a friend it's the large heart and generosity that plays main role. Yokawa is posing a photograph with me you can see my generous Japanese friend at dining with me in the covering photo. The Kimono that I'm wearing in the photo is a gift from my dear friend Yokawa .I wish she could know English to read my story.Let me share some of the Japanese words & expressionsI can still remember with interested readers."ohayo gozaimasu"(Good morning)"Oyasumi nasai" (Good night)"gomen nasai"(excuse me)'hajimemashi(pleased to meet you)"do itashimashite" (you're welcome)"shikata ga nai"(I'm sorry) "omedeto gozaimasu domo"(Congratulations)"arigato"(Thank you) koko(where)"watashi wa Jariya desu"(I'm Jariya)"Anata no namae wa?(What's your name)"sayonara" bye..bye...
